My coil packs keep going bad. I have GIAC stage 1+. Is there any other coil pack out there on the market that is better than the oem ones. ECS tuning has Hitachi coil packs. Will they fix the problem..

    Thanks for anyones input

    Re: coil packs

yes the Hitatchi coils are more reliable but there is some debate as to if the spark is as strong. They should be sufficient for the stage I+ . I use them on my car and the car does seem a little less peppy in the upper rpms......but I'm running a GTRS
ReVO BT and a bunch of other stuff

Also try removing the ground on the valve cover and cleaning it.

    Re: coil packs

#3...... #3................#3........ I'm dealing with the same thing. I had my coil packs replaced after cylinder #3's pack failed immediately after going APR 1+. Since then, cylinder #3's pack has failed 2 more times in less than a year. Luckily i asked for the spare coil packs that hadn't failed and kept them in my car. Every time the car began spitting and sputtering, i would just pop the hood and swap out #3 without a thought, and it fixed the problem.

what problems come of running the hitachis if they are "too strong"? Part number?
