B5 S4 struts/shocks on a B6 A4 Avant fit?

A fellow in my local club is offering up his struts and shocks from his 2001 S4, only 20K miles on them.

Anyone know if these are compatible with the 2005 A4 Avant?

Not a completely correct statement.

The B5 S4 rear suspension is different than the B6 A4. As a result the shocks will not match and the rear brakes definitely do not match (I tried mating them up on the B6 A4 spindles).

However, the front B5 S4 brakes do fit on the B6 A4 suspension/spindles. Does the B5 S4 front suspension match the B6 A4? I am not 100% positive.
