    what should be my next mod...

    my friend and i just got done buiding a 2.5in turbo back exhaust for my car. i also have a drop in k&n filter, and a boost gauge... should my next mod be an fmic or chip?

    x 2. You lose ~2 psi if you add a fmic without a chip.

    Get a chip. The FMIC is nice but not necessary really until you start maxing out the performance of your stock turbo. Plus it is a hell of a lot of work to install. The chip is easy but $$.

    $400-$500 for chip and 20 minutes of work = 50HP and 80TQ right off the bat.

    $200-$300 for FMIC and piping plus hours of swearing, cut knuckles, dremeling, bitching and moaning = not losing any horsepower to heatsoak.

    go with the chip, you will be much happier. However, i will say that if you have bigger plans for your car in the future such as a bigger turbo....just save your money for now. If you arent planning to get to crazy, then a chip would be fine.
