    What is the monthly payment?

BTW, mileage is very high for a one year old car, but I'm sure you noticed that already.

Using the numbers you provided it shouldn't come out to more than $670/month (this is without taxes built in to your lease). I'm not sure what the tax rate is for you, but using NY's 8.375%, it would take the payments to $725.

For this money you can get a brand new car, IMHO it doesn't make sense to lease used cars.

Hmmm...I bought my '04 S4 for 35k and stretched out the purchase to something 72mo's and my payments are $550 (or close to that, I put $600/mo towards it).

I would say you're close to being able to just purchase one...might make more sense, might not. The re-sale on these cars is taking a big hit right now....so it would be nice to not be stuck with it, on the flip side you could get a slightly older one and own at least part of it in 4 years...maybe enough to get some money back when you trade it in.

Get the newest one that you can afford. If you don't, you'll always regret it when one passes you.

The being said, it's not a bad price, but I am sure that you can find a better price out there. The market is really slow and you should be able to lowball a better deal. I purchase a 2005 B6 S4 in July of 2006 for $32,000. It had only 15k on the odo and was immaculate. Granted these deals don't come around everyday, but can be had with some haggling especially if you're the only buyer and the seller needs to move it.

Work it a little more and pit dealers against each other. Good Luck! Post pics when it's in your driveway.
