Heya all. So I'm pretty new here and just normally STFA and read other posts learning about my 2000 S4. I've had it for a year and a half but realy just started getting into it ($$$ situation got better :) ) It has 83k miles and I needed an inspection so I took it to my stealership 2 weeks ago and a motormount was going, it was going to be covered under warrenty (3rd party) so I just said replace it. Now they're saying my right one is going along with my front tranny mount. How many miles normally does it take for both motormounts to go? Is this normal? I'm thinking I'm just gonna go track 034 motor mounts now. I was just hoping I wasn't going to have to replace these before I went stg3. Also my front right tie rod has gone twice within the past year and front right suspension link 3 times now (replaced it a year ago and 2 weeks ago. Now they're saying its broken again). This was all found out because I reported my seat rocking upon acceleration and breaking. Wouldn't they have found this crap 2 weeks ago when it went in for inspection? Sounds like my service tech cut some corners. Thanks and I'll post some pics up later today.

    Front tranny mount????

hmmmm...you're sure that's what they said?

034 is one of the best motor/tranny mount options BTW

At most stealerships you talk to a service consultant, not the mechanic. When i went in because i thought my ballast was under warranty(not factory warranty), but turned out it wasn't(assholes), the consultant pointed to a completely different part of the engine bay and said this was the ballast. I almost started cracking up. Talk to the mechanic if you want things cleared up.

Both my motormounts were shot @ 60K miles. I assume the "front tranny mount" is either a new sexual position that you might like, or the "snub mount" .

Replace 'em all with 034's and move on your way.

As for the suspension issues, something else is wrong if the same thing keeps on breaking. Either whoever doing the work didn't fix it, or there's something bigger wrong with your car.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm switching stealerships after talking with Ray at Audi of Willow Grove and he said they'll check it over for me and he isn't afraid to call my warrenty company like the other stealership is. I hate dealing with these guys. They're gonna check it out on Wednesday.
