Hey guys I might be going for some kw coilover,s but I'm having a tough time figuring out if I want to save the money and just go with the V1 fully height adjustable or V2 series height adjustable and dampening. It would be nice to have the ability to adjust dampening with the V2's but in reality I wont be doing a lot of autox ,So I'm looking for anyone that has run these or has experience with these. How easy is it to adjust the dampening ? Thanks

    Re: KW Suspensions

to my knowledge you have uninstall the suspension
to get to the shock and then adjust the knob at the
top end to your pref setting.

i know this sounds like brokin english but for most
of you guys know what im trying to explain.
adjusting it is easy. its the reinstall thats a pain...like most set ups.

i currently have mine set in medium. but after a
few upgrades here and there with more HP it needs
to be stiffinned up especially in the rear. my s4 is
no longer a DDriver so i want to adjust the dampining
to a harder setting. soon to be once the new tires
come in and hs sport kitt. cant wait to have that firm
grip back on the road again.

    Re: KW Suspensions

I had the KW V3's for awhile and I hated them. Not enough dampening to keep the car from bottoming out over speed bumps. I constantly had to raise the rear of the car as they kept sagging. I blew out the LF strut after 6 months and KW made me send it back to them to be rebuilt! Wouldn't send me another one first. If I hadn't bought another suspension, my car would've been in the shop for a month waiting for KW to send back the suspension.

havent had any issues with variant 2's .... i would really love to drive a stassis b5 to compare the two.

speaking of. does anyone know where i can get a replacement adjuster fork to raise and lower the car??? they are special order, take forever to order from a dealer of kw, and arent cheap.
anyone make a replica of the original or have one laying around to borrow or buy off???

Don't know what to say, I was very unhappy with mine and with the warranty service.

I run V1's on my a4 extremely low and love them. 4 years in NE winters and they still turn by hand every spring. 60k miles on them and I still love them. Only problem i noticed this spring was the rear spring has paint bubblign and rust starting.

I just got the V1's installed today and they ride much better than stock. Now I need to get my wheel bearings fixed too...endless money pit. hahaha
