Gigi, im loving the stance of your ride. Wheel well gaps are perfect. any issues with rubbing on your 19's? what did h&r claim on the springs you bought, 1.5" drop? I'd love to go with the same suspension as your but with 20's, i just dont want any issues with rubbing.
Thanks. If you're talking about the pics in my sig, then at the time I had Koni Yellow/sport adjustable shocks (about $600 I think) and H&R sport springs. They claimed 1.75/1.5 lowering. My car sat at about 24.5/24.75 inches. It is low for an A6, I could not even slide a finger b/w the fender and wheel up front. Car handled awesome and looked bad! But it was harsh, would have been fine if it was just me but i drive with mykids and wife in the car so I chnaged the suspension to Koni FSD's and Eibach. A little higher in front, a good bit higher in the rear and 80%+ of comfort ride with improved handling... so a good compromise. It doe snot look as "bad" now! More civilized.
back to the H&S, I had the springs only first and the car bounced too much on OEM shocks, they'd wear in a hurry, I would bottom out and rub in most corners. So i got the Koni Yellow shocks installed and the car just sat lower... It ride much firmer, no mroe bouncy, nust harshness on bad roads but less rubbing too.
19's rubbed a little under heavy load. I melted the liner a little. No biggy though. I did remove the screw that holds the middle top of the liner to avoid rubbing against it. I had 245/35/19 tires too on a 8.5 wide rim and Et38. before I had 19x8.5 Et35 rims with 235's.
