    Not Too Low Springs

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I found out the hard way that H&R or Vogtland springs with Bilstein sport shocks is too low for the car. Because of the porsche cayenne bbk from ECS, I went with the 19" Hartmaan RS-4 replica wheels which have enough clearance. The fenders are rolled but still the front tires hit my fender all the time. Both H&R and Vogtland lowers the car by 1.3 inch in the front so Im looking for something not as low, less an inch perhaps. What are my options besides coilovers??

Koni/Vogtland lower .8 inches all around, PureMS sells them and they've gotten rave reviews.

Also, check out this thread, people posted up quite a few spring/shock setups

I bought my Vogtland Sport Springs from PureMS based on the spec found in their website, but it turns out to be false info. It lowers the car at least 1.3" in the front, same as the H&R that I bought from Tirerack. I've emailed PureMS about this and they have no intention of giving my money back. I don't know why they haven't correct it even though they are aware of it

uh...vogtland springs do not lower 1.3" if they do ... something else is wrong. i have the vogtland/koni combo and i'm sitting around 25.25 all around. when i was on the h&r/bilstein setup....i was 24.50. i have had my vogtland/koni suspension on my car for almost 4 years now and still am sitting at the same height.

This is the reply I got from PureMS awhile ago.
".....Here are some photographs to confirm what our Vogtland springs result when paired with the
KONI Shocks. Ride heights are F 13.75" R 13.0" from hub center...."

After changing my springs from H&R to Vogtland, I noticed no difference in ride height. The car was undrivable due to the front fenders and front tires had barely enough space in between them, so I had the bodyshop rolled the fenders.

    So anyone???

    Re: Not Too Low Springs

my car went down atleast 1.3" with my Vogtland/Koni setup from PMS. So i dunno why people think they only drop .8" because thats a 100% FALSE statement.
