Nice run but what happened on the big end? You trap the 1/8th at 99 but the 1/4 only at 120? I would think you would run top heavy and trap higher then that.

lol yes i run cats, next week maybe wont run cats :D who knows my car is way too loud with cats cant imagine how loud it would be with no cats but i guess i might remove them who needs them lol... Might try some 100 or 110 next week. Also if i do that need to do some tuning for it before the track.

Nice times.....but yeah, you're killing yourself on the topend. 99mph 1/8 mile trap you should be HIGH 120's for the 1/4 mile speed. That thing is going to be a monster when you get it all dialed in.

my issue is hardware.. After i remove cats will definitely need a retune.

Also Methanol would be a very big help to me at this point. My IC temp at the track was 100* and stayed at 100* for the run..

Fats is such a small look at a cars acceleration, especailly in drag racing. Alot of other factors to look at.

Re: Back from the track 11.6@120mph on pump

Since you are in NewYork. You can actually tell me some fine tuners here. I am no0b at this chipping the ecu's and all turbos since i had an Acura before and no Chips can give that car power. I got an 1.8T A4 now and its too slow for me to even drive it around. But i like the shape and handling so much that i decided to mod this instead of getting e36M3.
    Will appreciate your help boss.

Awesome run especially with cats, full interior and 10.8-11.1 afr on pump gas... I talked to Greg when he was at the track, 1.5 hours in the staging lanes heat soaking off and on because of oil on the track didn't help the AIT...

from waiting at the line, i think i found out that the FMIC soaks up more heat from the radiator then anything. I might consider getting methanol depending how fast i can get it shipped to me and get some nice new Bi Pipes ;)

it seems like if the front mount was working very well at all it would cool off quick once you left the line in that weather. Post the logs if you feel like entertaining me.

I really don't see how 100 degree starting IATs are possible when ambient is only 43... Did you accidentally spill a couple cups of hot chocolate all over your FMIC?

If you claimed to have logged 100 degree starting intake air temps at the track with your laptop, why not just use the same laptop to post the logs? I don't understand why you can't post these logs and the ones from the other day that you said you'd post.
He had the car running not for an 1.5 hours but a little to long before he started the run would be my guess. What r you trying to imply?

FMICs are bolted to the center of the car's nose. The radiator happens to be right there too.

SMICs are bolted into small passages behind each end of the bumper. There are no radiators located in either of those areas....

Conduction of heat happens when one hot surface touches another cooler surface. Being parked with the motor running will continually add heat.

Just to be clear I wasn't a non believer in your temps. I was just interested because it seems to support side mount being a better choice. I can't imagine running an IC that doesn't C.
