Forge Diverter Valve Or Forge Blow off Valve

I have an A4 S2.0T QUATTRO and i want to know what is better a diverter valve from forge or a atmospheric blow off valve?

Forge makes a BOV spacer, but i've heard of people running into problems running the dv and spacer. If you want to hear the more dv put a CAI on.

depends on ur purpose on using them. DV is more performance while BOV is just for show.

cold air intake. aka hot air since it is next to the turbo. After you chip it get a forge dv. no need to change the stock one if your not chipped or until it rips.

Spend the money on a chip. $600 gets you about an extra 40hp and 90+ ftlb of torque. Everything else is basically a supporting mod. Forge DV is best when the time comes.

the chip is actually an ecu flash so you would nee to find a local APR, GIAC, or REVO dealer near you. I took mine to a shop to have the dv installed, since it's easier to do with a lift.

APR, REVO, GIAC are the top 3. I have APR and love it. Any one of these 3 are great. Call your local tuner or go to the websites. APR's is www.goapr.com they have a large base of shops that install their software. I am not that mechanically inclined so I have a buddy who ownes a VW/Audi performance shop do it and I help out a little where I can lol

If you gathered all the fastest A4 B7s from this board every single one would have a CAI of some sort even though they do absolutely nothing.

Get the DV, if you want to hear the SHHHH more get the DV and the CAI that will make it pretty loud. good luck.

I took me about 20 minutes to get to the cash machine, withdraw a chunck of change, get a ride down to the Matrix Garage, and just a few more minutes to give the cash to Jeremy and drive away .

Sorry I could not be of more help. I do like the the CAI though, not as much as I liked upgrading the exhaust though, but more than the rs4 sway bar mod.

Its not personal, why spend $300 on one? Yeah it sounds good, yeah it looks awesome, but if your doing it for HP might as well get a K&N for $50 bucks and gain something. You say they do nothing, but when I state the same its a personal attack. I am just trying to help out a new audi owner who is about to get into modding. Not all the fastest audi's have some sort of CIA Ill be in the 13's friday with my drop in filter and my Tip transmission.

wow, this ultimate n00b post...
lol CAI on a b7 is a waist, no matter what. you'd only be bringing in warm air (no cold air) thus losing performance. BOV will also make you lose performance - you want it to Divert not Blow off. So in conclusion: Chip (best investment ever), Forge DV (mainly for sound), but NO intake (it only looks pretty) and NO BOV (also a complete waist). K&N is your best bet with a filter and you can also hear a slight amount of sound.
those are all you need if you're looking for your basic performance.

You cannot run an atmospheric BOV on our cars, they are designed to run a recirculating valve. We have a Mass Airflow sensor, the engine uses this to measure exactly how much air there is in the system and thereby add fuel if you vent air into the atmosphere this would effect the volume of air in the system and the car would run very rich. This will severely effect the running of the car.

I was saying it sarcastically so it wasn't an attack. I do believe there is not alot of HP to gain, although there isn't any real evidence either way. I also believe there are som benefits to upgrading your intake. however I think that it has benn discussed to death here.
