I was wondering if the Milltek non-res cat back exhaust voids the factory warranty of the car?
No, it does not. Downpipes can since they affect input to the oxygen sensors, but the cat-back does nothing to affect engine inputs.
I did notice that one of the places listed on the Milltek site to purchase their products in GA is a dealership so I would not think they would sell products that would void the warranty.
While warranty is not affected in this case, don't bet on your statement in general. Dealerships can sell products that will void your warranty. They just need to inform you of this ahead of time. Some dealers will even offer ECU upgrades.
Also is non-res the way to go if I do not plan on doing anything else right now such as down pipes or ecu.
Non-res will be louder. Also, after MANY years of modding cars, I have never heard a non-resonated exhaust that doesn't have an annoying drone at lower rpms. Depending on the system, this can be mild with a narrow rpm range to brain shaking obnoxious bass frequencies that span over 1000 rpms. But, it will scream and put a shit eating grin on your face under hard acceleration. Most reviews of Milltek's non-res, however, have found it to be too loud to live with on a daily basis. And here's a tid bit of info....even Milltek thinks the non-res is too loud for this type of vehicle, but the market is there, it's cheap to produce, so why not make the sale.
Will the car have to be tuned at all with the addition of the exhaust?
No, although optimal power gains will be with downpipes, cat-back and a custom tune done with that specific hardware.
