    Finally an Intro

    Hi everyone,

Many of you have helped me over the past year after I got my new ride last spring. I had some pretty obtuse questions due to my unique setup... lots of non-answers, hehe. Thought I should do an 'official' intro.

My name is Bill and I work at a Graphic Design / Ad / Marketing firm in Winnipeg, Manitoba. My wife and I have been in the VW scene for a long time, currently driving an 05 GLI, prev. to that an 03 Wolfsburg and the last VW we had before that was a very built 65 Beetle.

I know the original owner of this car and remember when he first got it. It was treated with craploads of TLC (and $$) and was built up by Specialty Engineering in BC back before the heavy hitters around today (GIAC, APR, REVO) were popular. So, it sat around for years after moving on to other toys. The fall of 2006 I made him an offer and took possession of a 98.5 A4 Quattro with only about 30,000km's on it (18,650 miles).

To the car... here is some of the stuff done... some go, some show...... I didn't list every supporting upgraded piece... it was a pretty steep learning curve last year, I am looking fwd to a few upgrades, but will just enjoy the car as is for a while.

2 Liter stroker motor, JE pistons, Carrillo connecting rods, SDS programmable EFI computer, Greddy EBC, HKS boost gauge, TT, Garrett GT-25 Ball bearing turbo, MTM turbo manifold, Turbonetics external wastegate, Spearco custom front mount intercooler, Upsized injectors shooting 94oct, Secondary fuel tank in trunk feeding 104oct to extra 4 manifold mounted injectors, Custom turbo back 3” stainless steel exhaust.

Oettinger 19 X 8.5 RZ wheels, Kumho MX 235/35/19 tires, STaSIS Streetsport CO's, AP Racing 4 piston calipers, 13” 2 piece front rotors, Cross drilled rear rotors (standard size), Stainless steel braided brake lines (front/back), Neuspeed short shifter

Rieger RS4 front bumper, ABT side skirts, ABT rear skirt, Kamei mesh grille
Shaved door moldings, OEM S4 HID headlights, OEM clear corner light, Sparco suede steering wheel, Sparco shift knob, Suede shift boot

I didn't get to take many good shots last summer, but here are a couple.

    First day home

    At the Legislative park

    With some friends

So, thanks to all of you for your help so far and I'll be sure to have lots of Q's this summer

    Bill.

Sounds slow as balls and is hideous..

But shit, I missed April fools day.

    Re: Finally an Intro

Thanks guys, looking forward to putting my own flavour to things here... most of this was done by the PO. mravantit: sorry, I didn't do the work, so I couldn't even suggest where to look. Front is Rieger, sides and back are ABT.
