Does anybody have a rep kit made from this stuff or just have experience with a kit made of Duraflex. I'm considering an Oetty Rep, I need a kit that can stand up to speed bumps and crappy roads in general. I have H&R/Bilstein combo and I'm gonna go lower when I get my coilovers. If it flexes like the OE bumper, that would be good. I also checked up V-Fiber ,buts it also more expensive. They have vids of Youtube where they flex a bumper made of Durafle ,but I just want to hear some real world experiences.

    Re: Duraflex

if your really concerned about quality, i would suggest going for the real thing... most sellers call their products something really nice like "Duraflex" which is probably just fiberglass made with more love.

this has nothing to do with the fake vs real bullshit thats going on in the other thread, so keep that argument in the other thread. this is a question of quality. i.e poly urethane vs "Duraflex"

    Re: Duraflex

^^^Well reading about it seems really convincing, especially after watching this youtube video.
There more than few people with rep kit, so I just wanted to know what th material was and how it stood up to punishment. I know the real Oetty is urethane ,but I read that urethane reps don' fit that well.

    Re: Duraflex

This was a bug question over in E30 land. Supposedly Duraflex will withstand everyday treatment. I have heard good things about them. That being said I have never dealt with them so I have no first hand experience.

He says later in the thread that it wasn't duraflex.

( I previously mentioned it was Duraflex earlier, but it wasn't, it is actually advertised as FRP material )

I was actually now looking at a full polyurethane kit, since it's cheaper than a duraflex kit on Ebay.

dont do it. granted the pics are crappily resized but look at the wavyness to the bumper itself. its clear to me that those "installed" pictures are NOT of that bumper. prob pics of the real oetty.

I agree. I believe this pic belongs to someone on this board but as you can see the Otty polyurethane replica does not fully align with the fenders (on both sides).

I do not know if it's the same way with the Duraflex or FRP replicas.

    Re: Duraflex

^my authentic caractere does that, but im pretty sure its cause i broke the clips taking my old bumper off. im sure that can be fixed easily with a couple screws from inside the fender area
