    New CH update

Wow what a difference. I just got the new ecu update from Audi and the new G-version DV and then got reflashed with APR and the next day threw in some iridium plugs. The car now feels like it did on 100 octane. Its like a new car. Its fun getting a little sideways when pulling out. I may run some 100 for the show this weekend.

    Re: New CH update

Yes it is a recall, Audi will perform it the next time they have your car in for service. I think it is all years 2.0t's and it is worth it.

Reflash cost will vary from shop to shop - they charge you for their time/labor. Most shops seem to charge 1/2 hour.

    Re: New CH update

Not sure if it was the plugs or just new plugs, but the iridiums are half the price of the oem Bosch ones.

    Re: New CH update

I don't know of any recall, there is a new ECU update, its been out for several weeks, months even. My dealership said it had to do with lessening false positive CEL, or something like that. Have not heard of any recalls how ever.

    Re: New CH update

    Hey Guys

To clear up any confusion, there IS a recall/update for ECU part number 8E0910115B. This is the ECU for the 2005.5 2.0T B7 A4. As Noffy says, it is to recitify throwing out some Check Engine Light faults.

Got mine booked in for tomorrow! Then will get re-REVO'd for free!!

    Re: New CH update

I just had an ECU update done on my 2007.5 last weekend. They said it was to correct a faulty CEL caused by the emissions control system. It is only for a specific VIN range of cars. The engine and driveline feels smoother now but that is probably because it was also in for a 5k service.

The ECU update was several months ago, this is a recall (it says so on my invoice right in front of me). I have had both. It does run much smoother.

    Re: New CH update

Was your DV shot or did you ask that they update you to the G version? I asked that they check mine out and replace it if there were any problems. Claimed the CEL 'didn't throw any codes', so hopefully that means I'm good. I'd still like to get the G for free before shelling out money for the Forge DV..

My DV was shot and the NGK plugs only have about 250 miles on them and all with 100 octane.
