You might want to try searching the DIY sub forum. I don't know if there is one though.

    Re: broken glove box

Mine broke last year - the left hinge. Since it was made out of plastic and the entire door hinge unit had to be replaced. Dealership helped me unload ~400.00, not covered warranty (normal wear and tear). I seriously thought of emptying the glove box and glue the thing shut.

    Good luck

    Re: broken glove box

THanks to all who posted info here. Glovebox on my S4 broke the other week. Problem was that the pneumatic brake for the glovebox was seizing up.

Gorilla glue did not work but this ended up being the solution:

Just went to Ace hardware. Bought a corner bracket and bent it with two pliers to fit the contour of the hinge. Painted it and the screws black. Gorilla glue on the crack and under the bracket and we're good to go. Took the brake apart and used a little silicone to lubricate it inside...same stuff I use on my motorcycle helmet. Total cost about $5.

    Re: broken glove box

Take off the whole glove box. Take off the little hydraulic cylinder and trim down the rubber gasket inside is it opens easier. Then take off the glove door, use needle nose pliers and grip the pins on the bottom and pull out while turning the pin left and right as you pull (don't try to hammer them out). I bought a small piece of metal at Lowes for like a gate or something. It's narrow with 4 holes and come with 4 screws. All you have to do is bend it and screw it into the door and hinge. Also I had to sand down the inside of my glove where the hinge goes up into so it would fit the new metal piece. Sorry for no pics....

Yes. Just like the fuse panel cover on the other end of the dash.
