How do I open the fuse compartment on the side of the dash? I tried to pry it open by the little slot towards the bottom and my key and it wouldn't budge. I'm a bit scared of breaking the clips or whatever that holds it together. Any suggestions how to pry it open?

Also I noticed there was a crack in the leather on my seat. Is there some sort of leather solution to make it look better and prevent it from getting bigger? And is it just me or is black leather less soft than the other color leathers? My friend has a B6 A4 with beige leather and it seems a lot softer and finer than my leather, which is black. Or could it be that his has more miles thus his leather has been "broken in?"
