So i bought 19x8.5 and 19x10 from a guy on here with a 2004 a6 2.7t s-line. the wheels were an offset of 35.. i have a 2000 a6 2.7t and they wouldnt fit on the front... the brakes were too big.. what would be the issue??? thankfully he returned the wheels, but now im back in the market, but dont want to have the same issue again...

    Re: wheels wouldnt fit?

The 2000 & 2001 C5 2.7t have HP2 calipers, which require wheels with a unique curvature of the spokes, while the 2002 - 2004 have a smaller caliper that will fit most wheels that are 5x112 with an ET35.

    Re: wheels wouldnt fit?

use wheels that another member has and knows works for sure, use a seller with a site where you can shop by model/year.... call a shop....
    www.tirerack.com
    www.gmpperformance.com

often times a spacer helps but might put the wheels out too much for you or.....
better to go with a safe choice liek a wheel someone else uses or has used on the same car OR talk to a pro
