3.0 cam locks

So, The Bently, and everywhere else, says it'll be the death of a 3.0 to do a timing belt job without using the cam locks.


Any thoughts on where to source a set of these cam locks?


I hate to spend big money on a speciality, one trick pony type tool that I'll only use once, so would prefer to rent a set.

The only place I've seen that rents the tools, BlauParts, requires you buy all the parts from them as well, not helpful since I have the parts already. clicky clicky


The only local shop I'd trust also won't work on a "bring your own parts" basis either.

a couple of guys on here have done 3.0 timing belts, so maybe one of them will let you borrow them through the mail? IIRC they aren't particularly big or heavy...

Anybody have an idea who sells the tool? I suppose the stealership would, premium pricing tho I imagine.

Anybody buy 'em and want to sell now & get some of your money back?
