I know this is for B7, but I thought I´d share my new B8 with you

I´ve had it for a few weeks now and today I fitted new wheels. Yep, needs to be lowered - I´m working on it . Right now it´s on sports suspension, but not for long (I hope).

The B8´s really, really good, by the way!

How much different from the B7 is it in terms of handling and performance? I haven't had a chance to drive one yet but based on the reviews, it seems they made some nice improvements.

the car is nice, but..... i dont want to step on your toes,...... but those wheels do not help the looks at all. See if you can return them or trade with someone.... horrible!!!

Don't get me wrong, the B8 looks great, but I think it loses the A4 power look, it just looks like a A6 now...

Handling is much better than B6 or B7, they tend to feel a bit leaden. The B8 is much more fluent and the steering feel is far better.

Performance-wise there´s not much difference, at least on petrol engines (3.0tdi is awesome!). We don´t have the 2.0T engine yet, so my car´s 1.8tfsi (160 hp). It´s ok, but feels slow compared to the TT that I had before. The TT had about 300 hp, so there´s a clear difference. I´ll get my car chipped when they become available.

However, compared to the previous 1.8T, this new tfsi engine is from a different planet. The old engine felt very rough when revved to the upper rpm range, but the new engine doesn´t. It also has quite a lot of torque from down low, so it´s pretty relaxed to drive.

I was sure that those wheels WILL get mixed reactions - and I was right
I thought about getting BBS LM´s or some other obvious choise, but decided to go with a different wheel instead, because it´s nice to have something not everyone has.

I also do not like the side skirt area with that line that raises near the rear wheels

sick car, but I think I like the lines of the A5 better. I like the front clip on it, but the rest looks off to me. I gotta get used to looking at it.

We will all get used to it and end up loving it. My only gripe is that they make 'em bigger every generation. To be honest I love the size (and shape) of the B6. When I change car in 3 or 4 years maybe the new A3 might tempt me more than a huge A4... we'll see.

By the way I like those wheels; they are distinct.

I think the car looks great, wheels look good, I wouldn't do chrome but I think it looks good. However I wil not get a B8 because they have done away with the dual exhuasts. What were they thinking, it really pisses me off.

I like it up to the rear doors. I just feel that the rear slopes downward a bit too much. If it a slight raked look, not quite as much as a B7, it would be perfect.

The price is about 42 000 €, which is about 65 000 usd... Yep, our cars are waaaayyy too expensive! Petrol costs about 1,42 € / litre, so you do the math [O_O]

Oh, those are definitely not chrome wheels, but polished aluminum. And yes, they are staying, because I kinda like them

Not as close as you'd think. For a 135i loaded, I mean loaded, with everything from bluetooth to nav you're looking at about 43k. For a loaded 335i your looking at about 52-53k....
