FM/AM Reception Problems With II+ Upgrade

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I upgraded to the II+, using a custom harness by TeddybGame and an antenna adapter. Everything works great except for reception on AM and FM, which is terrible....it sounds like I am listening to an alarm clock radio from 1992 at the Super 8 Motel.

Anyone else have this problem? I have tried adjusting the antenna.

Which antenna you running? Front or back?

You should probably get in contact with TeddyB, as his harness's are usually without problems....

Re: FM/AM Reception Problems With II+ Upgrade

I had a II+ fitted last week and have lost AM. I was told this would be the case. It's to do with the old diversity aerial not being compatible with the +.

When my man fitted it he had made a little loom for the aerial. He swapped the plugs over in it to get the best reception but did say I will lose AM. It's a shame because in the UK most of the sports stations are on AM and I would listen to live commentary.

My FM is fine but I think it's still not as good as before. The MP3 makes up for that though!

If any of you guys have an answer for better reception please chime in!!
