    upgrading 02 sport suspension

Has anyone mixed sport suspension springs with aftermarket ones? I have 02 sport suspension and I would like to lower the front only. I would want ½ to ¾ of an inch drop in the front and I’m wondering if they are any potential drawbacks.

    Thanks

I was thinking the same thing. euro cars have always had a lower read stance rather than the front. Buy a set of springs/coilovers and only install the front??? I dunno how it would handle.

If you only added aftermarket sport springs to your car and kept the stock sport springs in the rear you are asking for trouble. Totally miss matched and likely more understeer which our cars do not need. If you really want to go this way, get a spring with as close to the stock sport spring rate possible. IMO, save up for as long as you need to and get a good C.O. set-up and set the ride height to where you want it. I am saving for Stasis StreetSports.

I was thinking that spring rate would affect the car cornering ability and could make it unpredictable. However, I’m wondering how unpredictable.
Let’s say Neuspeed Race springs vs 02 stock sports!?!

Don't do it, Neuspeed race springs are too low for even sport dampers.

Either install sport springs w/ sport dampers or coilovers.

We recommend doing it right the first time or else you'll spend more money in the end.
