exhaust sounds which brands better?

comming from vw's it was infamous that vr6's had the best tone, and magnaflow and GHL's were the best at givin it the best throttling sound. so is their any brand over another that makes 2.7's have that "infamous" tone ??

That exhaust is custom and unobtainable. Believe me, when I whipped up the intro to that video I asked Austin about it...set up alone is well over 2grand.

i always liked the tone of uuc exhausts. search youtube for UUC VM1 and UUC VM3. it all depends on personal pref. though.

I too like the sound of the vr6's with the magnaflow .. I'm currently running the AWE Twin 2 and have no complaints

i have an awe twin1. i love it. i think within the first week after putting it on i thought i'd get annoyed with it, but its still secks to my ears. :)

Well...you know what they say, money talks. But the whole exhaust from turbo back was custom in-house with Burns Stainless goodness. (Read: $)

I had the UUC on my last s4 .. was a bit too loud at times .. especially when starting it up on a cold start [O_O] .. I was into that whole loud exhaust phase .. now just more into something less .. AWE Twin 2 fits my standards

I dont think there will ever be a unanimous decision on best sounding exhaust. Different strokes ya know. I love my awe twin 1 and piggie pipes. I guess the best way for you to find that out is to find some S's in person and compare. Youtube/internet audio does the car no justice.

im sure no one else on AZ will agree, but i really appreciate the milltek exhaust. its quiet as stock when driving civil around town, but when you get on it, its got a nice tone. no drone or anything either.

if i went loud, i would get a scorpion exhaust.... if i could ever find one

I really like my borla right now. It's one of the cheaper catbacks. But that's all going to change after my Labree split dp's are install this week :) I'll make vidies

I like my Milltek Exhaust. Sounds even better through tunnels and under bridges! I took off my resonator and is a little louder but not annoying in my opinion.

It's the full turbo back. I don't have the test pipes in but the things that look like resonators just go straight through as well. I was afraid of it being too loud but it's actually just right. I can keep it quite or I can let it loose.

I have piggies with a Milltek 3" CB with the rear muffler removed. Perfect sound IMO. Got a nice low, rather quiet grumble at anything under WOT, and at WOT, it roars like a lion. Just what I want.

X2 to all the Milltek, I've got their dual cat-back and it sounds very pretty.

Nice and low, and is only noticeable when you go WOT and then it makes itself known.

I've always ran the Neuspeed G2 and loved it. This is my second one I purchased for the 2nd S4. This time around I changed out the center resonator with a borla straight through 3" and it's even better, no rasp or drone

My custom 3" off of my Labree DP's sounds amazing...but it was a bit pricey. Like everyone else has said, go custom and money talks buddy.

PS. Just made 4 rings :) yay.
