    Lug bolts

I just put on my Champion Rf62 wheels on my 06 s4 and it seem as though the bolts are not long enough. I think im in need of a few more mm's.
I know stock is 14x1.5-27mm ball seating.
    Any suggestions?

    Re: Lug bolts

no too sure that this will help, but just a FYI, I just received my Neuspeed RS10's and they sent me all new lugbolts. I measured them and they are 30mm of thread. Reason I am aware of this is because I am going to run small spacers and need to order new ones. Since this is the case, I was naturally searching for a "better" lug bolt, maybe something stronger and/or lighter. And I really did want Allen Head Lug Bolts. Well no luck and Titanium ones are like $1k +. Funny, the box of lugs seemed almost as heavy as one of the rims.

    Re: Lug bolts

I did a search and found that RAD bolts are recommended.
Im thinking I should go with a 14x1.5 32mm bolt.
Does anyone know if the RAD lock bolt is compatible with the OEM lock bolt cap?
    Maybe PureMS can chime in?

Wheel bolts are specific to each brand of wheel. There's no bolt that fits every wheel. Contact the wheel manufacturer to see what they recommend.

I agree with Mike. If you end up getting something, make sure you get at least 7 turns of engagement to be safe.

    Re: Lug bolts

I just ordered my lug bolts + rad wheel locks from PureMS.. also got the chrome caps for both. Why don't you do the same? I think those would look better than the stock gray caps.

    Re: Lug bolts

I actually prefer the gray caps over the chrome.
Only thing I need to know is if they will fit over the RAD locks.

    Re: Lug bolts

neuspeed sent me RAD bolts with my new wheels. just need longer ones now. I also looked @ porsche bolts, pretty much the same as everything else out there. I really wanted a nice set of allen drive, but only found them in 12mm and the company was in asia.

    Re: Lug bolts

Contact Champion Motorsport-they sold me and installed their RG40s with Porsche Titanium lugbolts and locks, and they weigh 1/2 of what steel bolts weigh, and have a "floating" seat that doesn't wallow out the holes. Worth whatever they cost!!! Hats off to Jesse and the Champion Motorsport crew, especially Vic!

^ I called CM and talked to Jesse last week and he said the OEM bolts is what they use with the RF62's.
I was only getting 4 1/2 turns with the OEM bolts so I placed an order for some Gorilla lug bolts in a longer length. Still waiting on them to be delivered.

Yea, depending on offset and hub design, each wheel can be thicker or thinner. Our wheels use oem lug bolts and go 6-8 full turns fine. Good thing you took the initiative and got longer ones to be safe.

    Re: Lug bolts

I ended up with RAD Wheel Bolts. I did however find that Rennworx sells a Titanium Wheel Bolt Kit for their wheels for Porsche, for a mere $700[O_O] I guess money better spent than on an intake?
