18's are a good size for our car to enhance looks and handling while keeping an acceptable tire wall and comfort. 19's will work and will maybe lok better but man they can get rough and watch those pot holes... tire wall is short!
I love my most recent setup

    Re: new guy -- A6

you know i watched that when it came on topgear and i thought it was insane, expecially since i had a W12 Phaeton, which is sooooo much heavier and wider and longer and AWD, and i can tell you for fact that there isn't much on the road that could even keep up say from expecially 80mph and up, i couldn't imagine the poor lil golf and how crappy it would be without the AWD, hell my R32 needed it and it was only 250hp, with that being said however, i would still have liked to driven it just for giggles :)

    Re: new guy -- A6

thanks for responses -- I decided on the 17's for the improved handling (as opposed to "looks"); not sure what I did wrong with profile info, but I'm using H&R sways andS4 wheels on a 2000 A6 -- 2.7t engine chipped. I have GIAC installed now -- and ARP that I have not tried yet. Probably showing my age sticking to the 17s, eh?

go with 19's with Eibach's. It will ride almost like stock, at least mine does. Plus it will look sooooo much better.

I think I actually have a C5 A6 rear trunk spoiler, never used, in the box. If you're interested in seeing pics shoot me a PM.
