Axle, Clutch, what else?

My car's original problem was what I thought to be a clutch issue. However, the other day, I looked under my car, and I saw this:

When I pull my clutch out with it in gear, I hear the clutch disc spinning. But now I've noticed that my axle is detached, so I'm thinking my differential is just hanging out there, so the car doesn't drive. Also, my speedometer has a reading when the clutch is out fully with the car in gear, the reading is higher as your progress through the gears.

Is this just a simple axle issue? If I replace the axle will everything be cool?

Looks like the CF seperated, should just have to install a new axle.

Where is the rest of the axle, the side mounted to the hub?

I think that is still mounted onto the hub.
