well on my way to work this mornin got pulled over (4AM) doin a 73 on a 45 and recieved a court appearence date and its not an infraction its a misdomeaner which im fucked! im tryin to find anythin to help me here i work for the gov. and had my uniform and badge on me but he was a dick so he didnt care it honestly didnt feel like i was goin fast DAMN S4! anyways im hoping to get it nolled i need to talk to some people i kno and see what i can do cause this sucks ass i kno ill get flammed for speeding but its 4am nothing out for miles besides my s4 and i wasnt payi nattention to my speed...shit sucks

You could go to court and see if they'll put you under advisement. I got a ticket last year with the camaro for basicly dropping the clutch at 5000 RPM. Imagine the tire smoke. Anyway a under cop about an 1/8 of mile away threw on his lights and promptly gave me a ticket for careless driving. When I went to court I explained to the judge that I was testing the car and no one was around (except the cop of course). He then checked my record and saw I had no tickets. Then he lessen the ticket to impeading traffic. I only had to pay $80 and no points. Most citys are just in it for the money espcially now. They really don't want to give you points. The insurance company makes all the money on you not them.

i got a 99.3 (yes .3) in a 55, told me straight to court. since im a really good young lad i decided to use my accelerated rehabilitation, its rids you of the offense following prohibition. im on prohibition until july 16 LOL. 6 months, no comm service since i had never gotten in any kind of trouble before. only ended up costing 130 though =] LOL. what was gay about mine was that i was simply trying to log something and first time in my LIFE never looked down to the left on the entrance ramp. SAME day 2 hours later blew my k03s haha, oh what a day

The "advice" everyone else is giving you, may or may not apply to you. Laws and court procedures vary from state to state, jurisdiction to jurisdiction. So what one person tells you to do, might not be possible in your area. My advice is to get a lawyer. It's gonna cost you a couple hundred, but it will be well worth it in the long run. You're facing criminal charges here (most speeding tickets are civil infractions), so you're going to face criminal penalties and it will go on your record... not just your driving record. Not to mention your license may be in jeopardy. Definitely hire a lawyer. That is, unless you know your way around a courtroom and you can properly defend yourself. Just be aware of the consiquences you face if you don't get this dropped or reduced.

This is the best approach. I have a friend who went to law school who has everyone he knows do this and it works just about every time. Personally I just pay the stupid thing, don't have time for all that crap.

But it works man, seriously works. Do some searches about how it works in your state online.

Yeah, at least go to court and contest the ticket... Request night court if you can.. odds are the guy is working the grave yard shift (midnight-8am) since you got the ticket @ 4am. Night court will make him have to come in like 3-4 hours before his shift... and it won't be worth the overtime to lost that much sleep. No cop to testifty @ court = case dismissed.

Bummer about the ticket! Like the others have said, it varies so widely from state to state that you really need a lawyer. A few $$$ could save you big down the road. In a lot of states 29mph is less than reckless driving. Maybe you could argue on the grounds of 1mph and get it reduced?
