Buying a 2001 TT 225, have some questions

Hello, I decided to use my insurance settlement from my A4 to get a TT 225. I found one that I am interested in. I was just wondering about the steering rack, and how the steering should feel. I have heard that there have been problem with the rack, and i was wondering how I would know if the rack on the one i am looking at is good.

    thanks
    RIP B6 A4

hmmm i never heard of the rack problem before.

225s need a timing belt at 60K and may have instrument cluster issues and a few other small things, but all-in-all they are very solid and reliable cars.

i have one and LOVE it. as do most others. GO TT!!

Awesome link! Thanks very much, I think the car that I am looking at is a very solid vehicle, it has documented scheduled service since day 1, and appears to be in excellent shape, so it looks like I am going for it!
