A few updates since my last post.

Car as it sits now with coils. I picked up a set of vmaxx quattro coils.


Suspension:
- VMaxx Quattro Coils (could go down another 2 inches and up 3)
- 15 mm rear spacers
- Audi A8 12.3 front brake upgrade with drilled / slotted rotors
- Rear drilled / slotted rotors
- Audi S4 rims 17x7.5 ET45
- Audi A6 4.2 fat five 17x8 ET 35
- Audi A6 4.2 pie-plates 17x8 ET35

Newly installed K04 turbo and intake.

I need to get new pics w/ the custom heatshield installed.

Engine:
- K04 Turbo / Larger Injectors
- GIAC K04 chip
- Clutchmasters Stg 4 & LWFW
- Walbro 255 Hi-flow Fuel Pump
- APR snub mount
- Forge Polished 007 DV w/ upgraded springs
- Ecode FMIC
- 3" custom turbo back exhaust with magnaflow resonator
- Wideband O2 sensor (Innovate Motorsports LC-1)
- AWE Tuning Boost Gauge / Vent Pod

same here, looking for info about VMAXX, I oredered them awhile ago and Stratmosphere is taking thier time, but they will be here Monday. I searched alot about them and some issues where they didn't go down far enough in the rear but looking at yours I don't see that problem. How is the ride?

No pics of the pie plates yet. I ended up getting the other three Fat Fives from random places so I have a set of those also... I think the Fat Fives will be the first to go on my car. Pie Plates may end up being winter wheels!

Wow, I didn't have that problem at all. I can go down another 1-2 inches. The car would be completely undriveable at that point. I really like the coils. They are really nice on the highway. I really need to get fenders / wheels / tires / ride height figured out before I really play w/ handling.

I don't know the spring rates. If your looking for a track setup go with something else. I cart my family around in this car from time to time so I need to have something that won't break their backs. My wife refused to drive in my JTI which had Koni Coils in it. I personally love the ride, but that's only my opinion...

Spend some time on Dick Shine's website. He has a pretty good explanation of why lower isn't better.

The height can be adjusted while they are on the car. It's a pain as you really can't get a full turn w/ the wrench, but the same thing w/ every coilover I would expect.

Here is another pic... I need to find a cheap place to order a centercap for the these wheels. I paid $50 for the front wheel and it looks like I'm going to pay $37 for the centercap. Damn!

No way! I just got them myself! I rolled the fenders so I can actually run them w/o rubbing earlier tonight. I think the only other wheel I'd want at this point is the Euro Flat Fives. Those would probably look insane.

Good question! I haven't figured that out yet. I was going to run them this summer, but fell in love w/ the fat fives. Suprisingly my wife hasn't killed me yet for buying two sets of wheels within a month of each other..
