Official: B6 S4 Picture and Info Thread

Why are you selling.......

I just picked up my brilliant red 04, but on the issue of 17's with Alpine winter's, I ran 17's with the Michelin Alpin PA 3's on the 04 AG Avant.
How do you find the 17's on the S4 performed in CT winter since your'e only about 40 minutes west of me....????

In the 4 days that I have had my ( new to me S4 ) I have encountered some really strangely odd people.

The funniest was on Thursday. I pulled into a coffee shop. sitting in the car another Audi pulls up next to me, same brilliant red, same trim BUt its an A4.
So I look over roll down the window and say to him " Nice Audi ". The dude can't roll down his window so opens the door and looks and says....
" Youv'e got the same car as me..." Hmmm...Not Quite.. Then he proceeds to tell me how all the motors for the windows are junk and it's the 3rd one he has installed that has failed...
Next is his " Nice wheels ".....
I was about to say something but was laughing ( internally ) at this point because he obviously didn't realize the difference between his A4 and my S4....
His A4 had the charcoal grey lower panels so " HELLO "
I was hoping that the small S4 badge on the rear, the bigger brakes, the wheel style might have been a tip-off that this is perhaps not just an A4.....
Anyway funny experience, wished him well on his way and off he went......

Now WTFIH is it with idiots in Accords pulling up to me on the highway or getting on my bumper and then acting like Neanderthals wanting to race....
And I add driving like it's a friggin free for all.....

Ahhh the pleasures of driving an S......

Probably older than you but wether you are 18 or 60, being an idiot on the highway is without any time constraints.

As far as my previous post, I didn't buy an S4 to challenge other's on the roadway's nor to just cruise around.
I bought the S4 for what it is, a subtle understated incredibly capable road machine, compared to my previous B6 1.8T Avant,
this is much more capable and has very little need of upgrades....AS for the A4's owner...I wouldn't go up to someone in an RS4 and say it was the same car as my S4. The owner would be amused.
I perhaps mistakenly expect Audi driver's / owner's to know the brand and the difference in model line......( perhaps not )

You just sound childish. A lot of A4 owners don't know the difference between an S4 and an A4, they're just regular people who have no clue about cars but know Audi's are luxurious and sporty and are happy to own one.

For real. That's more than I pay for my B7. And, any dealer that willingly puts something like this on their lot is not a good dealer to be buying from to begin with. I bet that motor is garbage. Stuff like this is seriously tragic, and I'm not even a big fan of Imola. Someone should sneak up late at night and remove those pieces from the car, just to give the car some dignity back.

The stock Avus wheels are a much better choice, these do not flow with the S4's design which is quite understated to begin with. A concave or dished wheel seems to work best for Audi's.
This wheel's design, it's faux two piece look and polished chrome draws attention to the wheels and certainly not in a complimentary tone ........

The tail pipes also need to be tucked in a bit...
