A4 with subs!! Post your pics !!!!!!

i want to do subs in my a4 but i play hockey and need trunk space still. i want a space efficent way of doing it!!!

Not necessarily true....You just need to find the correct sub that is designed for less volume. There are some woofers out there designed to be used in a smaller enclosure. Also it depends on the sound you prefer. I prefer tight precise bass, which usually requires a sealed enclosure and LOTS of clean power.

But if you like the boomy stuff, a larger ported enclosure may work best, but take up your whole trunk.

this is a small box from JL with a W3. Sounds bitchin ..... Haven't had an issue with putting anything back there .. not even on grocery shopping day !
In Case your wondering as if it's not obvious enough .... The strap is there for a reason.

Here are my Boston Acoustics Pro Series 12's when they were installed in my 2001.5 A4. They're soon going to be installed in my B7 as soon as my SoundStream Reference 1000s amplifier gets its power supply repaired @ SoundStream.



Yeah... it's an old amp, but a pure beast of Class A reference design and power.

yeah I know ... I been to lazy to Velcro the bottom of the box ... I'll get around to it ... Or I'l just buy a diff color strap .... It does serve its purpose well .. that I can say.

Andrew A4 very nice amp ! I had one of those in my Integra on a Pair of Kickers .. Man that Amp delivered some awsome Sound ! get that bad boy fixed !

If I was going to put subs in my trunk, then I would have custom boxes built to fit in the back corner on each side. you should be able to get sufficient space in the corners to have them sound good.

As someone who has had one good friend paralyzed by an unsecured box while getting into an accident and has seen another seriously hospitalized by the same thing that strap is candy to my eyes.

yeah, nothing wrong with the strap. My friend's brother caught a speakerbox to the back of his head when his bug got totaled. I bet the w3 sounds sick. Too bad it's freaking complicated to do anything, when you have the Bose setup :(

i played hockey too...i eneded up putting my bag in the back seat which was inconvenient but i didint wanna ruin my brand new JL's!
