    Re: tire recommendation

Get spacers or something, 215/35 could be narrow for the ABS and speedo.

Yes it will fit, I have seen 215 on a 9".

^^ Again, just because it fits on the wheel doesn't mean it's right for the car.
What wheels and tires came on your Audi? The 16's, 17's?

Then again he is asking if the car will look ugly, and he is rubbing because he made a bad choice of wheels and tires.

If I was him I would stop pretending to be a "baller" (Or whatever they are called now a days) and get a good set of 18s on 8-8.5 with some good tires in 235/40/18.

You can stretch tires, but you have to know what you are doing.

This is the right advice. Either do this or put some coil overs on it and raise it up.

Dude lets see some pics of how it sits with the offset you have you should be fine.... If all else fails go with a 225 it will make a big diff from 235.....

    Re: tire recommendation

215 looks pretty stretched on a 8.5" wheel, I'd go with 225. Your ET is pretty aggressive...but it should not rub. Also can depend on which tire you get.

Stick with the 235's. Check your fender rolling post.

    Re: tire recommendation

I really don't understand why people would want to get narrower tires on a wider wheel. Sure you might rub with a wider tire, but fender-rolling really isn't that expensive at all. This goes on the same page as lowering your car beyond what I like to call, "the threshold of performance and functionality"- if you lower your car too much without the proper height balance...your car handles worse- not to mention it's unsafe. Same goes for downgrading to tires that are more narrow, ever thought that stretching your tires kills the life of that tire too?

Where do you come up with this shit?

Yes, lowering your car past a certain point will decrease performance, but unsafe? Hardly.

And stretching tires is not unsafe. A 215 on a 10" wide wheel, that might be "unsafe" (I challenge you to find me evidence of tire failure due to stretching however), but a 215 on an 8.5, yeah right. Get your facts straight, people like you are the reason the internet is full of false information.

To the OP, post some pics of your wheels on the car that gives a good idea of how they fit.

    That's a 195/45 on a 15x10 wheel, that's beyond stretch.

That it did. The skinniest I'd ever go on a 10" wide wheel is a 225 though.

I came up with a lot of this information based on searching, testing, experience, and based up other first-person experiences of friends/tuners/speedvision competitors/HPDE racers, etc. that have the same kind of tuning knowledge that I have if not more.

As for the "over-lowering" of the car being unsafe, yes. What you neglected is the scenario that after altering the suspension geometry the car's handling characteristics have been changed. Many people are not very sensitive to these changes and may forget or even not notice that the car cannot handle like it did before. Therefore this increases the risk, chance, probability of something going wrong. Suspension travel may "overload" or "underload" which can lead to more understeer/oversteer depending on the situation. But generally this leads to more understeer...which is dangerous especially if the driver has not experienced this before. Most people will never know this or never see this post- which adds to the increased danger, risk, etc.

I've seen your previous posts, your information is based on the scenario that people will never push the handling of their car and drive it for "show". But once they step out of that territory, without the right kind of tuning experience and driving skill- that is dangerous. Sure it can be argued that these changes have "minimalistic" effects, even the smallest chances of something happening is still a chance that can occur.

Search my previous posts in terms of suspension tuning, handling- I'm not here to lie, I'm here for the community.

    Re: tire recommendation

A tire that is a bit of a stretch on the wheel would improve steering response by minimizing sidewall flex, but making the ride stiffer, it also looks better in most applications as opposed to a wide tire with a big bulging sidewall and a tiny looking wheel.
