    Talking rub issue help please!!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    guys..
    i put 235/35/19 on front & 245/35/19 on rear.
i have rubbing issue on both end of the car..
i used "neuspeed race" (2.0 drop) lowering springs.

what should i do to get my car going??
coz now it probably won't move without rubbing especially on the front end.

i have a couple solutions in mind... which would you guys recommend?

    skkiner tires?? (move with 225/35/19)
    trim inner fender?
change from spring to coilovers? (least prefered because expensive)

    thank you!!!!

get rid of the springs and get coilovers instead.

    Re: rub issue help please!!

I would try skinnier tires. I have seen 225/35/19 on a slammed A4 on BBS wheels no issues.

    Yet.

Do 215 or 225 in the front and 235 in the back.

A good stretch looks good not weird.

    Re: rub issue help please!!

Can anyone chime in with some advice for me about wheels/suspension while we're at it.

I'm looking to get some KW Variant 2's installed and some 19" BBS CH from tirerack. The tires that tirerack suggests to go with the 19's are 245/40/19. Are those going to give me any problems as far as rubbing and what not with the drop. I'm not good with wheel/tire offset data.

Because you are going to get coil overs, I wouldn't worry as much about rubbing because you can adjust it. The OP has springs so he's got a choice to make.

First off how bad is the rubbing you should be fine with 235s all around in the front jack it up and take out the upper wheel liner screw and cut off the tab and in the rear they will rub a lil till the liner rubs out a bit. there is nothing wrong with rubbing. your offsets are almost the same as mine and I tuck tire....

    Re: rub issue help please!!

Did you do a wheel alignment when you install the springs?

The front shouldn't rub but your rears might with a 245/35/19 tire on a 35mm rim offset. What you can do is get a wheel alignment and tell them to play with your camber settings, that's if you really want to keep the 245 profile tires.
