it might look ok if you powder coat the whole wheel black w/red lip but don't do chrome+black+red/gold......it's gonna look too weird and possibly gay as fuck......possibly......gay as fuck

there are quite a number of cars with the all black with red pinstripe look and none (as far as i know) with the black lip / chrome / red pinstripe.
actually, i saw such rims today at action motorsports and i love it. might have the inlets of the center blacked out too

This is very true however just because you're different doesn't mean it looks good. This however is just my opinion and in the end you should do what makes you happy.
