For anyone needing to purchase a Ford 90mm MAF and Adapter... SICK PRICE!

well, as most of you know I'm switching over to Tapp software which uses the Ford Lightning 90mm MAF and an adapter to attach a filter.

After some searching, I was set and ready to pay $169+shipping for the maf and adapter but then... I found this site.

haha dude, i was seriously looking at the Checkout screen for the site you sent me.. And then I'm like "shit, this is pretty pricey for two little things..."
Sorry! But hey, at least your car looks nice, has a fully built 2.0 and runs... Where I have a half built 1.8 (rings/pistons have 130k) and my car is falling apart haha.

Quick question.....how do you get one of these to work in our cars? I just bought one for my BT, but I haven't researched how you get these to work with the stock MAF wiring.....do I need an adapter??

ps Sorry for the thread jack

Re: For anyone needing to purchase a Ford 90mm MAF and Adapter... SICK PRICE!

Well, I bought a used ECU off a forum member, and he said it was run with a 3" ford MAF.....so I scooped one up for a very reasonable price....is that not right? From what I've seen, some Tapp files run with different MAF sensors, so I bought the one that I was told was appropriate for my file.....but again, I'm not sure

To be honest, I haven't really had the opportunity to do much research into my setup, since I've been writing my senior thesis for the last few weeks

why don't you just call Tapp so you don't order things you don't need? Find out exactly what tune is on your ECU etc... it will save you time and money.

and Jake, thanks for the wiring, I'll need that in a few days.
