    Rotation of the K03

Hello all, I am a noob here with question. I used the search feature, and didn't find my answer. I hate it when some one asks a question in a forum instead of looking. But here it is, are the turbines on a B5 S4 K03 turbos counter-rotating? It doesn't seem like they would, but since there are two different housings i thought I would ask my esteemed peers. I have a burned up turbo and I was thinking about swapping out a CHRA until I can rebuild the ones I have. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

    Re: Rotation of the K03

Well thank you very much, very insightful. I do plan on going stage 3 further down the road. Been checking out all the different kits software and wrench work behind it. Unfortunately my wife has a honey-do list for me complete before I can do that. Silly things like a new more efficient AC in the house, French doors, deck, screened enclosure, the list goes on. I must make headway on the list before I am allowed to go get speeding tickets. Married life is complicated, but so worth it.

Any one else have an answer to the question. and to clarify, i was wondering if the two center rotating assemblies are the same. It would be much more simple if they were the same. Thank you again.

They are the same, you can switch those from side to side.

    Re: Rotation of the K03

Thanks guys. It only made sense that they were. I am waiting on another answer from a vendor and then I will be starting the work on my car. I am actually going to try a different approach to changing the turbo. I am going to go at it from the side. I need to change some suspension components anyway. Thats the plan. It may not work but its an idea that im going to try.

    Re: Rotation of the K03

Your question was referring to the rotational direction of the compressor vs the exhaust turbine, correct? If so, yes the spin the same direction. But if you are asking if the turbos are the exact same for both the driver's and passenger's side, then no they are not.
