i feel like nothing is really going my way with this car repair situation. the machine shop is too busy to take the heads before thursday and now the shop i'm dealing with is telling me that you cant remove the heads without pulling the engine. no other news really. just venting a little since none of my friends care.

You can pull/install heads without pulling the motor. Ive seen it done with my own 2 eyes.

marc: my waterpump froze(that may or may not have been the horrendous noise coming from my engine) and took the timing belt and my valvez with it. i got your video but i didnt understand what i was looking at. it was just a civic that didnt want to race and you needing to get your mouth washed out with soap from being so foul.

The exhaust manis are a little tricky with the engine in, but it can definitely be done.

talked to the shop thats working on my car. they are pulling the motor tomorrow and dropping off the heads on thursday to be rebuilt. they will not do any porting or polishing soo its just a straight rebuild..no fancy stuff. the machine shop will take 4-5 business days to finish the work and then the heads will be brought back to my shop to be installed on my car. so were looking at maybe next saturday or two weeks from monday(3/31). pretty annoying!!

I think there is some true in your statement. Remember a car is not an investment it's an expense. My b5 is paid and the last thing i will put on this s4 is the stage3. Last thing i knew is you need to be rich to by an AUDI. You pay the name so as the tech. Remember it's not a wallmart car. If you don't have the money to buy it, buy something else. Cars are made from dust and will return to dust.

Well if I knew it was there I wouldn't have driven it. The only way to find out it was actually in there was to drop the engine and remove the turbos. (which was done a yr later)

Since the screw prevented the blades from turning all the boost was going through one turbo. I guess the ECU decided to cut ze boost.
