you'll need a relay setup to bypass the clutch switch. Some cars have 2-3 separate switches, you'll need to find out with one(s) are the winners. Most remote starts have a line to tie into the e-brake signal (easy), and I used that same lead to tie into the shifter linkage with a magnetic contact that would open the connection if the shifter was in any position but neutral. I also took it one step further and added a second shock sensor that was only active during startup, and de-sensitized, to the point that it would only register if the car lurched forward during an attempted start in gear (testing it was interesting to say the least...) The install itself isn't very complicated, but it all depends on what level of safety you're looking for. There are some remote starts designed specifically for a manual trans car, but I really don't like the way they account for the car being in/not in gear...they can be faulted quite easily...
