Center cap's not covered under warranty?

My car was at the dealership today to get the ECU update, and when I pointed out that the paint was peeling off all 4 (1/3 of the paint has flaked off revealing the yellow) of the center caps, they said that "it wasn't covered under warranty". I've read in previous posts that some people got them replaced free, aren't they supposed to be covered?

I've got the same problems. I was going to just get a can of spray paint and spray them. But if the dealer would replace that would be ideal.

Re: Center cap's not covered under warranty?

how long has this recall been in effect? I bought 1 about 1 month ago and the dealer didn't mention anything about a recall. I kept the peeling ones, I may put them on and ask them about the recall on my 25k service.

I mentioned it to my dealer at my 25k service, and picked up a new set about a week after, they said they have been replacing them left and right and had to order more.

If your dealer won't replace them for free, paint them if they bother you.
    Ignorance is bliss.
