Best exahust for B5 V6?

I was looking at the Magnaflow 14816 any others I should look at? As long as it's not raspy sounding.

I was looking at the one with the smaller tips but would it clear the rear of the bumper?

if you go with the 816, this is about as snug as you'll be able to fit it. it's the rear sway bar that gets in the way. you can see it by that yellow smudge in the 2nd pic.

i'd recommend going with the 815 for a cleaner look. me, i don't really mind it at all. sounds great in a parking garage and enough to hear it in the cabin under load, but not too loud at all.

I should be under $150 to take it to a shop to get it put on right? I know a tunnel here where it should sound nice.

I had a 14815 on my v6 and thought it looked and sounded good. IMO, keep the resonator!

I think I paid $120-$140 for the muffler and $20 to have it installed.

yes, i would recommend stock resonator. any more drone on the highway would be too much i think. it's just barely there, which is perfect. i love hearing it in 5th gear on the highway. it's enough to make the car sound good under load but nothing that's going to piss off the neighbors when coming home at night. if you want louder, you can always cut out the resonator. i'm sure that sounds great too, just not for my DD.

would anyone suggest a borla exhaust? I was looking for an exhaust also, but then decided to postpond until weather got good and since it is better now i will be putting an exhaust. If you had a choice bw mangaflow and borla which one would you guys pick?

since there are no real performance gains from putting a full exhaust on a 2.8, and since the magnaflows sound so good and are cheap enough, for a 2.8, i don't see why unless you got a great deal on it. it's all price and sound preference, plain and simple.

whats a muffler for the 12v 2.8 that will barley give it a growl, soemthing thats not to noticeable, thats what im trying to look into. Something just to try and evenly match it up with the engine noise.

yea man that one is pretty low key, but its almost too much. Im not sure i would have to hear it in person. What is that reving to in the video?

idk, mabe 4k-5k. If you worried about the drone from inside the car, it's not bad at all. Can barely hear it when cruising. It's pretty perfect IMO.

Here is mine with the 14816, stock piping, stock resonator. The only thing changed out was the muffler.

Ok, so the 14815 requires a custom pipe to the resonator but the 14816 should bolt right up?

Actually, we had to use about 10-12" of new pipe to get the right bends to go around the sway bar mount.

yah, any capable exhaust shop should be able to take care of that.
