    Re: Holy $600!!!@#!@#!1111

Depends on what you get. I paid $500 for hood, fenders, mirrors, and rear bumper (to protect when loading luggage into avant). The front bumper was quoted at $500, so I chose not to do it. I may try to get the material and cover the larger areas as a DIY project.

I will say that I'm convinced after looking at both, that the 3M product isn't as good as the ClearShield product. Choose that if you can.

make sure the color won't turn yellow over time. you're basically paying for the installer's skills..not so much of the material.

    Re: Holy $600!!!@#!@#!1111

I just bought my A4 about a month ago, and had the ClearBra done on my financing. It was $900, so ur gettin' a killer deal. I have a dispute, however, that maybe someone can shed some light on:

When showed what the dealer-purchased package of the 3M stuff included, the guy pointed out headlight covers, fog lights, mirrors, and door-handle cups on one of the show-room VW's. However, I just detailed my own car, and noticed that there is absolutely no material applied to the lights, the mirrors or the door handles. From what I can tell, all that was done is the overall painted-surface front end cover. I feel like they jipped me; think I should call them on it? Is it too late since its been about a month since the work was done? I actually have a good relationship with the private shop they enlist to put the ClearBra's on, so maybe I can go to them as well.

    Input, AZ'ers!

This dealer is sheisty.....(never had to spell that word out before)...I'm NOT impressed. It's possible to completely take your car to another dealer for care, right? I really feel like these guys have jipped me on some things.

They are also trying to tell me 2006 A4's don't get the pre-paid maintenance which I've seen about 10 people post to the contrary about. Why can't people just be friggen decent anymore?
