Stupid question but I ordered a new set of 5,000k D2s bulbs which will be arriving tomorrow. Got em both for $70 shipped brand new. The install I'm assuming is very simple right? Just unscrew the headlights and pop the new bulbs in?

Offer him $59.99 and he will take it. I offered him 49.99 at first, and he counter offered me with $59.99

I later found out that he has other separate auctions for the same bulbs at a $59.99 Buy It Now price.

Yea, the 5,000k was a personal choice on my part. If you want stock, I believe 4300 is what you should look for. He does sell them. Just search his store for the D2S kits.

I've bought $30 D2S HID bulbs before off eBay and they are still working beautifully. They are called Autobahns.

Haven't installed them. It's raining right now but I'll install it tomorrow. I'm actually wondering if it's as simple as just unscrewing the headlights and popping the old bulb out and the new one in. Never had to change a D2s before, but I doubt there is nothing much more than snapping things in place.

The way to "snap it in" is a little bitch compared to things like h7, but its not THAT hard. Just required patience. You have to pin the metal bracket in between the actual bulb and it's base while maneuvering it within the metal spider leg harness. Sounds confusing but once you see it you will know what I mean. Just be patient and take your time, it's easy if you go slow. Shouldn't take more than 5 minutes a side.

Thanks for the info. Do you suggest completely taking out the headlight, or being lazy and letting it kinda hang off the car during the change?

I tried doing it halfassed, but got tired of doing it while in the car and just took them out. I think for the passenger side you have to take it out period because the airbox snorkel is in the way.

Just take it out from the beginning and you will be good.

Yea true that. I got the bulbs in last night, and I was stuck with the damn metal bracket when I was trying to put it in. Ended up making a mistake to figure out it was the right way. Install... don't laugh did take me slightly over an hour.

One word of advice. The third bolt holding down the headlight all the way on the bottom has this bitch clip that likes to move. Without that clip, you can't get the bolt in. Trust me, I dropped the clip and ended up doing a 10 minute search underneath my car just to get it. Not fun. I'd suggest getting some glue on that or bending it so that it's very tight. Overall, GREAT BULBS. Looks great, and I got the 5,000k. Looks extremely white, no blue, no yellow. Took an hour and a half, but I'm loving the look.

P.S. I think my headlights are slightly misaligned because the brightest portion is very low and right in front of my car. Any way I can "raise" the lights or adjust them to be higher? I'll post pics of the glory!
