$15 oil change @ German Car Service in Dulles

    hey guys,

I just wanted to let everyone here know of a german auto body/repair shop in the Dulles / Sterling / NoVA area. I was trying to get an oil change done, but didn't want to wait in lines at Firestone (where I normally got it done). So I went down to this place, and the Danny (the owner) gives me an incredible discount since I'm a first-time customer.

Their oil changes cost about $65 for mobil1 synthetic oil, and if you are new, they give you a $50 discount! So I walked out (in about 25 minutes) with the oil change for only $15!

The shop seemed really clean, with good equipment, and relatively new so maybe they just started up recently.

I'm definitely gonna check them out next time I need any service done on my car.

    anyway, here's their website: http://www.germancarservice.net/

No, they did not pay me to put this up here. I just thought $15 for an oil change was too good to pass up.

Re: $15 oil change @ German Car Service in Dulles

Spoke to Danny this morning, and booked an appt. for this coming Wed. for a synthetic oil change. He quoted me $25 for a synthetic oil change, for my B6 S4, for new/1st time customers. One thing to note is that it's not a oil change "service". Therefore the oil change doesn't include the topping off of all fluids, or some of the other checks that one may be accustomed to coming with a oil change "service". The price simply includes the oil change and the checking of your tire pressure. Regardless I'm gonna check them out and I'll report back to you guys/gals after my appt. on Wed. morning.

Must have just missed you, I think I left there just before 10am, my appt. was at 9am.

So the service was actually about $27 all said and done ($77 minus the 50 dollar first time discount). They didn't have 0w40 Mobil 1 which I wanted, but he recommended the 5W-30 so I went with that. The filter definitely wasn't OEM when I peeked under their after I got to work, not sure what brand it was...

Regarding a previous post of it not being a full "service", they actually did check the tire pressure, brakes and fluids, so it seemed to be just as much of a service as any other place.

The guy there (Danny) was pretty cool and tried to tell me I need to put my air duct back to get colder air coming in to the engine, and I tried to explain that my airbox was modified (darintake), but anyway he was just trying to help me which most places probably wouldn't do.

Glad you guys find this helpful.

Yeah, Danny topped off my coolant level and checked all my fluid levels. Told me that I could just skip the 60k service and come in for the 70k since everything looked in order.

Ended up having to reschedule for this morning.....so we definitely missed each other.

It's definitely "not" a full oil service, because although they check "most" fluids, they don't top them all off. My tire pressure too was checked.......however my windshield wiper reservoir was at 50% when I arrived.....and when I left it was at the same level. The information about them "not" topping off all of the fluids was communicated to me directing by Danny when I called to originally book my oil change appt., and he explained that this is due to the costs of some fluids being extremely expensive, and for the "special" price he just couldn't afford to do this and/or offer this.

I just had mine done here. I paid $50+ even with the first time customer discount. This was with synthetic. Regular price was about $90.
