    Bluetooth/DNS mic wires

    All,

When installing an aftermarket stereo while keeping the RNS-E, is there a way to disable the Dynamic Noise Compensation (which I'm told is done by simply unplugging/cutting the Microphone wire), while keeping Bluetooth functionality?

I suppose my question is are there 2 leads coming from the microphone, or is it just one? If just one, I suppose it's impossible to keep Bluetooth functionality while at the same time disabling DNS.

Please let me know if you have any input!

    Thanks,
    Brad

    Re: Bluetooth/DNS mic wires

I have never seen the new dual BT/Bose microphones but in the B6 you could not disable the Audio Pilot by just disconnecting the Bose mic. A wiring change had to be made at the Bose amp and the head unit had to be recoded to disable the Audio Pilot.

    Re: Bluetooth/DNS mic wires

    Anybody?

I looked at the RNS-E wiring diagram and it only has a single MIC-OUT, so it looks like if I disable DNC it will also mean eliminating bluetooth.

Not a big deal to me because hearing the phone ring through my aftermarket stereo at almost full volume would most likely just piss me off.

The Bose mic is connected to the Bose amp, not the head unit.
