People With Painted Side Skirts... Quick Question

Did you or is the small long trim piece also painted? im talking abotu the one inside the car when you upen the door right above the side skirts... its just snaps into place and basically covers all the bolts that hold the top portion of the side skirt on the car... thanks im taking mine in for paint and i basically ripped that strip off and think imma need a replacement and didnt wanna get them painted if i was gonna replace then... they arnt gonna snap back in.. maybe i can bouble side tape them... but just wondering if they need paint because i dont wanna close my door and be able to see a non painted strip from the interior

Mine is not painted.

It is very flexible and difficult to remove without breaking it. I would up buying new ones (which are not cheap).

How much did you guys get charged for the painting of the lowers? I know it all depends on your location and the quality of the shop, but I just wanted a rough estimate on what to expect. Thanks in advance.

^^^somewhere from $300 to $800 it all depends. there is a guy here locally that gives anyone a discount that heard about him from Audizine for like $240 for all lowers painted and i have seen his work and its pretty damn good for the price!

by the way audimymind the strips your talking about the dealer sells them and i can get them for like $25 a piece but thats wholesale prices. im going to be painting my lowers very shortly and i will end up buying new onese because mine broke last time i took them off. i think i can spend $50 on those. lol.

i got mine painted little by little.. i bought a s4 rear and it was 300 to paint. then the USP lower was $150 and now my sides and shaved front plate and painted upper for $350 so $800 overall.. but keep in mind i did one piece at a time.. they told me it would have been better and cheaper to do it all at once because they wouldnt have to reload the gun and shit.. plus it was full bumpers not just lowers. but i didnt have the parts/money at the time.. i basically going one paycheck at a time... they way i been living my life lol!

yeah mine are borke too! i think imma just gonna break off the rest of the "clips" that held it into place and double side tape them back on

foreal... i had no idea how to take it off... i tried to slide them off like the door blades... nope so i just yanked them off hahah i was suprised to see that there were 7000 bolts holding down the side skirts
