Ruff racing wheels 18X8.5, Will these fit in the front of my car? 99.5 1.8tQM? Is a 225/40-18 too small for a 8.5" rim?

I think that tire might be a bit stretched.
I am running that size on my 8" and it is perfect.

I run that tire size on wheels the same size as yours. It has a little stretch. I think it looks good.

IIRC, 225's are supposed to fit anywhere from a 7''-8.5'' wheel. So its going to be pretty damn stretched. BUT it will fit.

I'd run a 235 on a 8.5'' wheel, but thats just me.

Depends on the tire. Some companys tires are wider then others. Falkens run skinny while dunlop and yokohamas run wider.

Ruff Racing 279 18X8.5 with yokohama parada spec 2's 225/40/18. I hope this answers your question. There is barely any stretch

Wow your car looks awesome man! What do you have for an offset on those? and how much is your car lowered? I have H&R race springs, do the front tires rub? I had nexen n300 on my other car and after going thru three popped tires! 7 total I switched to nankang ns2 and the nankang were definatly narrower and they were both the same size. Thanks for your help

offset is et35. its about 24.75 fender to ground all the way around. With rolled fenders I only rub on the fender liners on very sharp downhill turns under braking. Nankangs sucked. No grip at all. basically it was hard plastic.
