My buddy has a dealership and he'll pick up a car for me at the auction. Question is how much are B6 S4s going for (30-60k miles). I love my B6 a4 but its slow as hell.

Every crappy car that doesn't sell goes to auction. Cars that sit on dealers lot for a long period end up going to auction. That doesn't mean that good cars aren't there. It's just that if there is a great car at a dealer's lot then it will usually sell and not end up going to auction.

If you can get into a dealers auction, then by all means go. Inspect the car before it goes up on the block. I would pay a mechanic to go with me or go and check out the car for me.

I am aware of lemon cars from auctions ( i had one). Many of the cars at the auctions are repos and lease returns. Also I don't think I have ever had the same vehicle for over a year so...
