Question HVAC shutting off / Resetting

Has anyone had their HVAC panel shut off then turn back on again periodically? It seems like some times just cruzing down the road it will do this in my car. Not hitting any big or small bumps but it just does this out of the blue. Sometimes it seems like it will turn off the fans for a moment (screen still lighted) then back on again with a different temp coming out of the vents.

I am wondering if the sensor might be dirty, when I bought the car it had a lot of dust in the opening where the vent is which I vacumed out. Now I am wondering if I need to use a can of compressed air or something to clean it out further.

    Any ideas?

P.S. I did run vag-com on it and no fault codes and it ran through all of the tests just fine.

Re: HVAC shutting off / Resetting

anyone have any ideas on how to fix it? I am thinking it is the sensor which is dirty or has dust around it... From running the diagnostics, there is a fan which pulls in air around the sensor and it tested out ok as I could hear it running. So I don't know if the sensor might cause this. The only odd thing is that the display will flash which is rather odd.

Mine does it as well, asked the dealer about it but they "could not duplicate the problem," to my surprise
