    14851 with cut res?

I just got my 14851's installed like 20 minutes ago. It definitely has a nice tone to it.

Its just a little too low for me. I was wondering if cutting the resonators will make it too loud? I know this is subjective. But can anyone give me an idea of how it would sound like after?

Will it sound more raspy? Obviously, its going to be a bit louder, but how much?

My friend got his GTI's res cut and it sounds nice with stock everything as he accelerates. BUT, it randomly cuts off/on sound when he lets go of the gas. Which is lame, IMO.

Will mine do that if I cut the res?

I had the same problem as you. I cut out my resonator and couldn't be happier. Only drones between 3-4k rpm and the drone is not even bad.
