    Possible Transmission Issue, NEED ADVICE

I got in my car last week and my check engine light came on. I did not really take notice of it until I put my car in reverse ( I have tiptronic) . When I gassed it, it reved up real high, almost like it was not catching, but when I put it in drive, everything was fine. The only thing that was funny was that all of the letters, P R N D S, were all flashing and the revs were acting a little funny. Has this flashing ever happened to anyone else, and what should I expect when I go into the dealership this week?

Are you FWD or Quattro? If you are FWD, then your car is CVT equipped, if that is the case then the flashing gearshift indicator means your TCU ( transmission control unit) is screwed up. If your car is an 05 with under 50k miles, you should still be under warranty, just take it to a dealer.

If you are quattro, i am not sure if it means the same thing, but most likely it does.
