..to really rip it in a cul-de-sac. but i dont know of any big, empty, safe to slide through parking lots around where i live. and there was some mud on the right side i didnt really want to go sliding through too.

the first slide is the best on camera...in the car it feels to be sliding a lot more than what it looks like on film. i made a video before this one that i didnt like @ all. when i stopped the first time to get the camera, smoke was coming off the front tires. i would have filmed it but my memory card said it was full when i picked up the camera.

but hey, whatever. nothing better to do today. so here it is.

engine mods, suspension mods, and drivetrain mods

and car does not have esp. only edl. which id have to unplug my abs module to "turn off"

Big empty, poleless lot would be nice. Once you get it, you will get it. You're lifting to early to really have it really lay it out.

But ya gotta start somewhere!

Nice tight drift circles are almost impossible.. (for me anyway) lack of power, jello-like chassis.. doesn't help much. A nice open parking lot (preferably with poles) is what you need to learn on.

Pick a pole, and use it to initiate your slide, then focus on sliding around the pole. If you start to plow lay off, and correct your plowage as you usually would.

It takes a bit, but you'll get it.

Our cars aren't built for drifting. You have no idea how hard it is on the entire car.

But hey its a start!! Definately need to lay on the power way more. If your having a hard time getting that power band, try dumping the clutch (if you have a strong enough clutch to hold your HP) while turning a little, then counter steer to hold the drift. You should be able to enduce a drift almost instantaneously with that meathod.

I got into it with my old car and my dads car, and even after about 6 months of sliding on rainy random weekends, I still suck. I need me an SOHC S13 with no balls and full suspension to learn on haha.

Spinning out a million times cause I'm a scrublet FTL.

2nd gear is easier with the 30r.. I had the same look in 1st, but once i'm in second and drop the clutch the car gets tail happy easily, even without the washer mod :) car sounds great and that's my favorite color. sweet pants btw!

I learned on a 350hp 944 turbo w/ racing suspension.. Then on a 914 v8 w/ 300 hp (very short wheel base).

The Audi isnt ready to drift yet (unless its in snow), but with enough HP and RWD basis it can.

I drove a 280hp 951 for 4 years, then went to this a4. (I needed 4 doors)

The v8 914 will be going away sometime and probably being replaced by another 951.

Just love autobahn power and 32mpg...(With truck like hauling capabilities)
